To see multitudes of souls established in the church.
Every man and woman, born of, and walking actively with God, knowing who they are in Christ, will always prevail and fulfill their destinies, no matter the challenge, the difficulties or setbacks that confronts them in life.
(1 John 5:4 AMP, Matthew 16:18, Romans 8:35-37)

The Word and Spirit of God are the source and foundation of Life. God expresses His will through His Word and demonstrates His power by His Spirit. While we engage with the Word through study and meditation, we engage with the Spirit through prayer and supplication.
We engage the Father in worship through His Word and His Spirit
(Genesis 2:7, John 1:1-4, John6:63, 1Peter:1:23, 2 Corinthians3:6, Matthew 7:24-25, Ephesians 6:18, John 4:24, 14:23, 17:17, 1John 1:3)
The Spirit of God is the inspiration behind everything we do. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Job 32:8, AMP) He inspired Matthew 16:18, Acts 19:20 and Revelation 5:1-12 as the foundation behind the establishment of the ministry.
The Word of God is the source of Power, Riches, Wisdom, Strength, Honour, Glory and Blessings. The more we grow by His Word in our walk with His Spirit, the more we grow in these virtues. We consider them our inheritance (Act 20:32), the index for gauging our spiritual growth and the strategic resource by which we influence and reconcile the world to Christ (Acts 20:32, Revelation 5:12)
Continually develop the capacity of the believer to function as persons of virtue and value in their sphere of influence through prayer and the ministry of the Word of Grace and Truth. (2 Peter 1:3)
At Prevailers, we believe that every world changer is a person of virtue and value. This is because it takes virtue to create positive value sustainably. Matthew 5:13-16)
We believe when Jesus declares us a salt and light of the earth and in the world in Matthew 5:13-16, it meant we should be persons of virtue (salt) and persons of value (light) if we must do good works to influence our world to the glory of God. (Isaiah 60:1-3)
Light represents the impact of God’s Word on Man. Men will “come to our light”, which is the impact we make through the value we create by the Word of God.
At Prevailers, we define a person of VIRTUE as someone who is:
V = Valiant (Courageous and determined)
I = Influential (Impactful on others)
R = Responsible (Accountable and Trustworthy)
T = Teachable (Open-minded and Instructable)
U = Upright (Conscientious and Noble)
E = Exemplary (Outstanding and Admirable)
We define a person of VALUE as someone who is:
V = Visionary (Forward-thinking and Progressive)
A = Action-oriented (Productive and Solution-focused)
L = Leadership-minded (Purpose-driven and Inspiring)
U = Understanding (Insightful and Empathic)
E = Excellent (Exceptional and Brilliant)
Prevailers is an Evangelical Charismatic Christian denomination with headquarters in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state and the following sums up our beliefs
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God and the source of the Truth, which is absolute and eternal. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21, John 1:1-3, Hebrews 4:12
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally triune, existing in three Persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:16-17, John 1:30, John 17:11, 1 Corinthians 8:6, 1 John 5:7, Colossians 2:9
We believe that prayer, offered in worship through thanksgiving, praise and facilitated with fasting, is the principal means by which we commune with God and bring His influence to bear on the earth. Matthew 6:6-18, 17:21, 21:13,22, Mark 11:24, Luke 18:11, Ephesians 6:18, Colossians 1:3, 1 Timothy 2:1, Hebrews 5:7, 1 Peter 3:12, Revelations 5:8, 8:3-4
We believe in the deity and virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, that He died upon the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the world and that He arose from the dead and ascended into Heaven, from whence He will return with power and glory at His second coming to rapture the saints. Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:27-35
We believe that man is a product of the Word and Spirit of God because in Genesis 1:26, God said "Let us make Man in our image (the Word, Hebrews 1:3) and after our likeness (the Spirit, John 4:24). He has a tripartite nature. He is a spirit, he has a soul and he lives in a body. He did not evolve from lower life forms but was made. Genesis 1:26-28, 1 Samuel 1:15, Job 7:11, Isaiah 26:9, Matthew 12:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrew 4:12, I Peter 1:22.
That for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ is essential (1 Corinthians 15:22). We believe in the doctrine of salvation by Grace through faith, with repentance from dead works as the primary step. That it is impossible for man, through works, to please God or save himself. That grace is not a license to sin, but our access to the power to live above sin. Ephesians 2:8-9, John 1:14-17, Romans 3:24, 4:16, 5:2,15,17,20-21, 6:1,14
We believe faith in God as the basis for relating with and receiving from God because without faith, it is impossible to please Him and faith without works (action) is impotent. Habakkuk 2:4, Rom 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38, 11:6, James 2:26
We believe that by one man, Adam, sin entered the world through his disobedience to God's command (Genesis 3:6-8, Romans 5:12-21).
This resulted in the corruption and depravity of man's nature (Romans 7:13-24) with the consequence of rebellion against God and His law (Romans 8:7-8).
This is the root cause of all moral and social vices in society (Galatians 5:19-21).
We believe that the problem of fallen man goes beyond natural causes. That behind most of the physical, psychological and social ills of man is the unseen influence of the kingdom of darkness. This is a structured kingdom, headed by Satan, under whose command are demons who seek to afflict and inhabit men to manipulate and control their desires away from God. Ephesians 6:10-20, Luke 10:19
We believe in the *present day* ministry of the Holy Spirit, Whose indwelling empowers the Christian to resist and defeat Satan by binding him and casting out his demons and live a godly life through the revelation of the Truth about God and His will for man that sets free. John 14:16,26, John 15:26, John 16:7, Ephesians 1:13, 4:30, Matthew 8:16, Mark 6:13, 19:9,
John 8:32
We believe in the doctrine of water baptism, which symbolizes the believer’s total trust in and total reliance on the Lord, as well as a commitment to live obediently to Him and in unity with all saints everywhere. Acts 2:38,41, Acts 8:12,13,16,36, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:47-48, Ephesians 2:19, Hebrew 6:2
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and the manifestation of His gifts in the believer to profit the body of Christ. Matthew 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, John 1:33, Acts 2:4, Acts 19:6, Acts 10:45-47, 1 Corinthians 12:7-11
We believe in the laying on of hands for the transmission of grace to heal the sick, baptize men in the Holy Spirit, impart spiritual gifts, and commission men into the ministry. Act 8:18, 1 Timothy 4:14, Hebrews 6:2
We believe in the doctrine of perfection in Christ. That our regenerated human spirit is perfectly recreated in the image and likeness of God and it is our responsibility to walk with the Holy Spirit to work *out this perfection* into our souls, body and the world around us (restoration). Matthew 5:48, Acts 3:19, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Ephesians 4:12, Hebrews 6:1, Hebrew 13:21, James 1:4
We believe in life after death, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust. We believe in the resurrection of the saved unto everlasting life in Heaven and the resurrection of the lost or unsaved unto eternal punishment. Matthew 22:30, Acts 4:33, Acts 9:27, Acts 24:15, 1 Corinthians 15:12-21,42, Hebrews 6:2, Revelation 20:5-6
We believe in the Holy Communion signifying the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, to commemorate the death of Christ: "This do in remembrance of me. We believe it is designed to signify, seal, and apply to believers all the benefits of the new covenant (healing, health and wholeness). That the Communion promotes the communion of believers with and consecration to Christ and with each other.
