Job Description

The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, lawful, and efficient operation of company vehicles to transport goods, materials, or products between designated locations. This position requires strict compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including DOT and FMCSA requirements, as well as applicable California and Arizona labor and safety laws. We offer competitive compensation with benefits and a weekly pay period.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate company-assigned truck(s) safely and in compliance with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required inspection and log documentation.
• Transport goods, materials, or products to and from company facilities, farms, ranches, vendors, or customer locations.
• Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of cargo as required.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, mileage logs, and hours-of-service documentation (electronic or manual).
• Communicate with dispatch or supervisors regarding delivery schedules, delays, or equipment issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic care of assigned vehicle; promptly report mechanical or safety concerns.
• Comply with company safety programs, drug-free workplace policies, and harassment-free workplace standards.
• Follow all applicable hours-of-service, rest, and break requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Class A License
• 3+ years driving record with 10-year employment history
• Clean M.V.R
• Current medical certification if required by DOT.
• Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle inspection procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred:

• Prior commercial driving experience.
• Familiarity with California and/or Arizona DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Experience in agricultural, distribution, or regional transportation operations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to climb into and out of vehicle cab and trailers.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions.

Work Environment

• Exposure to traffic conditions, vehicle noise, dust, and weather extremes.
• Work may occur on highways, local roads, farms, ranches, or industrial sites.

Compensation & Compliance

• This position is classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime in accordance with California and Arizona wage and hour laws .
• Meal and rest breaks will be provided in compliance with applicable state law, including California meal and rest period requirements where applicable.
• Employment is at-will , consistent with state law.
